Austin, TX (May 8, 2019) – On May 8, Austin-Travis County EMS was called to the scene of a collision along Texas 71 near Spicewood.

Around 9:20 a.m., a vehicle collision occurred in the 25000 block of West Texas 71. One vehicle sustained heavy damage, causing a woman to be pinned inside the vehicle. Crews worked to free the woman. The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the roadway was closed along TX-71 near Paleface Ranch Road due to the crash.
