Austin, TX – Michael Mayes Named As victim Of Interstate 35 Crash

Austin, TX (May 9, 2019) – On May 7, Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the scene of a collision in the 100 block of Interstate 35.

According to police, 50-year-old Michael Mayes was attempting to cross the southbound side of North Interstate 35, in the 100 block, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling south along the roadway.

The driver involved in this incident pulled over immediately after and attempted to render aid to Mayes as they waited for emergency crews to arrive.

Mayes was transported to an area hospital by ATCEMS where he later succumbed to his injuries.
