Gregg County, TX – Kim Yvonne Hayes Killed In Crash On TX-42

Gregg County, TX (May 10, 2019) – On May 10, just after 7 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision near White Oak.

According to DPS, 61-year-old Kim Yvonne Hayes was traveling south along Highway 42 in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado when 61-year-old Michael Buenrostro crossed over from the northbound lanes in his 2012 Chevrolet 2500 and struck Hayes’ vehicle head-on.

Hayes sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident by responding officers.

Buenrostro was injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
