El Paso, TX – 1 Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on I-10

El Paso, TX (May 12, 2019) On the evening of May 11th, a fatal pedestrian accident happened on Interstate 10 East not far from Schuster Avenue. A vehicle struck a pedestrian near the University of Texas at El Paso for unspecified reasons.

When the paramedics arrived, they found the pedestrian lying on the roadway unresponsive. Despite life-saving methods, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries.

The Special Traffic Investigation Unit shut down the eastbound lanes of the highway until around 4:00 a.m. as they tried to figure out what happened.
