Dallas, TX – Laniqua Pittman Killed In I-35 East Crash, 2 Injured

Dallas, TX (May 13, 2019) – Around 11 p.m. on May 12, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the southbound side of Interstate 35 East in Dallas.

According to reports, a Nissan Xterra became disabled in the roadway near the Medical District Drive exit of the Stemmons Corridor area.

A GMC Terrain did not see the Nissan in the roadway, causing it to strike it from the rear-end. The impact on the collision caused damage to both vehicles. Next, a GMC Sierra struck the rear-end of the Nissan.

The driver of the Terrain, who was later identified as 40-year-old Laniqua Pittman, was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Two children inside the Nissan, a 10-year-old and a 3-year-old, were both hospitalized for injuries.

Our thoughts are with the injured children and their families at this time.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Laniqua Pittman.  Our thoughts are with them at this time.
