Temple, TX – Driver Charged For Hit And Run Death Of Mario Arriaga
Temple, TX (May 13, 2019) – On May 13, the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office announced that they have made an arrest in the hit and run death of 54-year-old Mario Arriaga.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Nikeya Sherrod Crumb turned himself into their office after being served two warrants for his arrest. The arrest stems back to a March 12 incident in which the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Scott Boulevard around 9:21 p.m. to find a male pedestrian in the roadway.
The male, who was later identified as Arriaga, was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Crumb is being charged with accident involving serious bodily injury or death/failure to stop and render aid and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.
We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Mario Arriaga. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
