Arlington, TX – Arrest Made In Police Bike Crash On N Collins St

Arlington, TX (May 14, 2019) – On May 13, Arlington Police Department received the report for a bicycle hit and run collision in the 800 block of North Collins Street.

Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, officers discovered one of their own was involved in the collision. According to reports, two Arlington Police Bicycle Officers were traveling down Collins Street on marked and distinguishable bicycles, with their lights on, when one of them was struck in the roadway.

The driver of the SUV responsible for the incident fled from the scene. The injured officer was transported to Medical City of Arlington Hospital for medical treatment following the incident.

On May 14, Arlington Police Department announced that they have arrested 37-year-old Steven Turner for his involvement in this incident.
