Houston, TX – Pedestrian Injured In Parking Lot On Taylor Street

Houston, TX (May 17, 2019) – Police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian incident in the 1900 block of Taylor Street around 8:50 p.m.

According to reports, two drivers were attempted to take the same parking spot in the shopping center. An elderly man pulled into the spot, which angered the second driver.

As the man exited his vehicle, the driver of the other vehicle crashed into him before crashing into a parked car in the lot. The driver then attempted to leave the area by jumping over a curb, striking a building, and a second vehicle, before bystanders chased down the driver and took his keys.

The injured man was provided medical attention for injuries sustained in the incident. The driver of the second car was arrested for his involvement in the incident.

Our thoughts are with the injured pedestrian and his family at this time.  We hope for his full recovery.
