Scooter Accidents in Austin

Austin, TX – 1 Injured in Scooter Accident on S Mo-Pac CirIn 2018, approximately 166 scooter accidents occurred between September 25th and November 29th in Austin. Because scooter riders are allowed to operate on streets that have a speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less, sometimes drivers who are distracted may not be aware of riders since they’re harder to see. If riders are in a driver’s blind spot while they attempt to switch lanes, drivers may accidentally strike riders. Even though all riders are required to wear a helmet, that’s not enough protection to shield their bodies from the impact of large vehicles.

At Benton Law Firm, we help riders who have been seriously injured by vehicles file personal injury lawsuits to help them pay for their injuries.
