Heartland, TX – 3 Injured in Head-On Collision on FM 741 Near Moonlight Trail
Heartland, TX (May 18, 2019) On the morning of May 18th, a head-on collision happened on Farm-to-Market 741, not far from Moonlight Trail. A black Nissan Altima and a Chevy Malibu were both traveling on FM 741 when the Nissan veered into the opposite lane and crashed into the Chevy head-on. The dangerous accident happened at approximately 6:15 a.m.
When firefighters and an ambulance arrived at the scene, they found two people trapped in one of the vehicles. The firefighters immediately extricated the two trapped victims and a CareFlite medical helicopter transported them to Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. A ground ambulance transported a third injured victim to Baylor hospital for treatment. Two of the injured victims are students that attend Crandall High School.
The police are investigating what led to the serious crash.
