Baytown, TX – 4-Year-Old Killed In Crash On I-10 By Crosby Lynchburg Rd

Baytown, TX (May 22, 2019) – On May 22, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 10 East.

A preliminary investigation of the incident found that around 6:30 a.m., an 18-wheeler and a car were both traveling east along Interstate 10 East, near Crosby Lynchburg Road, when the truck stopped for slowing traffic. As the truck attempted to slow down, it slid into the second lane, where the car was traveling.

The semi-truck collided with the car, forcing the car over the guard rail and causing it to fall to the land below. A 35-year-old male and his 24-year-old wife were both injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The 4-year-old girl inside the car was found underneath the vehicle. The girl sustained fatal injuries in the incident and was pronounced deceased on scene.
