Jasper County, TX – 18-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Crash On US Highway 190
Jasper County, TX (May 22, 2019) – On May 21, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 190.
According to reports, around 9:30 a.m., an 18-wheeler was traveling west along Highway 190, when the vehicle slowed down for unknown reasons. A 2018 Nissan SUV was following behind the semi-truck and began to slow down as well.
A 2008 Pontiac car, which was behind the Nissan, failed to brake and collided with the Nissan. The impact of the collision forced the Nissan across the eastbound lanes. The Pontiac then crashed into the trailer of the 18-wheeler.
The driver of the Pontiac, who was later identified as 18-year-old Bailey Kay Farwell, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a Lufkin Hospital for medical treatment.
Our thoughts are with Bailey Kay Farwell and her family at this time.
