Lubbock, TX – Gloria Valdez Named Victim Of Avenue Q Crash

Lubbock, TX (May 22, 2019) – On May 14, just before 11 p.m., police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident in the 2700 block of Avenue Q.

According to reports, 52-year-old Gloria Valdez was grossing the roadway when she was struck by an older model silver Chevrolet Suburban. Police arrived to the scene of the incident to find Valdez in the roadway with fatal injuries. Authorities pronounced Valdez deceased at the scene of the incident.

On May 20, Lubbock Police Department announced that 39-year-old Priscilla Martinez has been arrested for her involvement in this incident. Martinez is being charged with second-degree felony failure to stop and render aid.
