Olton, TX – Eladia Rodriguez Killed In Crash On US-70

Olton, TX (May 23, 2019) – On May 21, Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 70.

According to reports, 80-year-old Isidro Rodriquez and his passenger 79-year-old Eladia Rodriguez were traveling along the highway in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado when, for unknown reasons, their vehicle collided with a 2007 Freightliner on the roadway. The impact of the collision forced the Silverado off the roadway, where it went over a barbed wire fence.

Isidro Rodriguez was injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Eladia Rodriquez was injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
