Wood County, TX – Two Dead & Three Hurt In Crash On Highway 69

Wood County, TX (May 23, 2019) – On May 22, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 69 North near FM 779.

According to DPS, a truck tractor was towing a semi-trailer down the roadway when it collided with a passenger car. The passenger car had five occupants at the time of the collision.

The driver of the car was killed on impact as well as one passenger in the vehicle.

The remaining three passengers inside the car sustained serious injuries in the collision. One injured passenger was airlifted to a hospital in Tyler while the other two were transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
