Gregg County, TX –James Michael Evans Killed In Crash On I-20

Gregg County, TX (May 24, 2019) – Around 1:55 a.m. on May 24, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident along Interstate 20.

According to reports, 56-year-old James Michael Evans was driving along the roadway when his pickup truck suffered some mechanical issues. Evans, along with the passenger in his vehicle, got out and began pushing the truck westbound.

While pushing the truck, a semi-truck, driven by 42-year-old William Weimer, struck Evans and the pickup truck.

Evans sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.

No other persons involved were injured in the collision.
