Houston, TX – 5-Year-Old Girl Struck By Vehicle On Lipan Road

Houston, TX (May 24, 2019) – On May 23, around 7:30 a.m., Houston Police Department responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident in the 9000 block of Lipan Road near Armstrong Street.

According to reports, a school bus was stopped along the roadway to allow children to enter on the bus. A woman in a silver van approached the bus while the bus had its stop sign arm deployed.

The girl who was struck was just dropped off by her parents, and crossing the street when the van passed the school bus and struck the child.

The child was injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the van was cited for failing to stop for a school bus.
