Wood County, TX – Akm Shamsul Karim Killed In Crash On Highway 69
Wood County, TX (May 24, 2019) – On May 22, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 69 North near FM 779.
According to reports, 35-year-old Akm Shamsul Karim was stopped at the intersection of FM 779 and Highway 69 in a 2018 Cadillac XTS facing north. At the same time, 25-year-old Jairol Tejeda Limonte was traveling southeast on Highway 69 in a semi-truck. As the Cadillac entered into the intersection, it was struck by the semi-truck.
Karim was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. Karim’s 17-year-old passenger was killed in the incident and pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 16-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy, and 37-year-old Brody Spann, who were all inside the Cadillac, were transported to a hospital in Tyler for medical treatment to injuries.
