Grand Prairie, TX – Man Arrested For North Belt Line Road Crash

Grand Prairie, TX (May 27, 2019) – On Saturday, May 25, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 700 block of North Belt Line Road.

According to reports, 30-year-old Jesse Merchant was traveling down North Belt Line Road when he turned in front of a motorcyclist in an attempt to enter into a gas station parking lot.

The driver of the motorcyclist, who was identified as 20-year-old Angel Ceballos, was struck by Merchant’s pickup truck. Ceballos sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation into the accident found that Merchant was driving without a license at the time of the incident. Merchant was arrested for his involvement in the incident and charged with manslaughter.
