Sour Lake, TX – Man Injured In Fireworks Accident On Mowbray

Sour Lake, TX (May 28, 2019) – On Sunday, May 26, Sour Lake Police and emergency crews responded to the scene of an incident in the 900 block of Mowbray.

According to reports, around 10:35 p.m., a 29-year-old man attempted to set off a firework when it went off close to his body. The victim sustained serious internal injuries as the explosion ruptures the man’s stomach.

The injured male was airlifted to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth Hospital in critical condition where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit.
