Harris County, TX – Officer David Dixon Identified As Victim In Westpark Tollway Crash
Harris County, TX (May 29, 2019) – Shortly before 10 a.m. on May 28, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Westpark Tollway near West Houston Center Boulevard.
According to reports, Officer David Dixon was stopped at the eastbound entrance ramp for West Houston Center Boulevard, on a motorcycle, when a car drove up onto the ram struck him.
The impact of the collision caused Dixon to be ejected from his bike. The officer was unable to call for help. A tow truck driver passing through the area spotted the injured officer and phoned in for assistance. Crews responded to the hospital and rushed the injured officer to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital for medical treatment.
