Fredericksburg, TX (May 30, 2019)- On Wednesday, May 29, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a plane crash near FM 2323 and Cherry Spring Road.

According to reports, around 9 a.m., a single-engine vintage Boeing Stearman biplane lost its engine power shortly after takeoff. As a result, the plane crashed to the ground, injuring the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The pilot was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The incident remains under investigation by the FAA at this time.
