Lee County, TX (May 30, 2019) – On May 28, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 21 around 1:45 a.m.

According to reports, a 2012 Mazda was traveling east along Highway 21 when the driver attempted to take the curve around the roadway. In doing so, the Mazda crossed into the westbound lanes and collided with a semi-truck head-on.

The passenger in the Mazda, who was only identified as a 25-year-old female, was killed in the collision. The driver of the Mazda was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
