Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
In 2018, the United States had the most pedestrian fatalities than it ever had since 1990. When drivers hit pedestrians late at night and continue to drive off, they’re usually under the influence or not paying attention to the road. Drunk drivers are likely to flee the scene because their mind is impaired, and they may not be aware that they struck someone. For drivers who are conscious while striking someone and still choose to drive off, they often have a criminal history and fear being caught by the police.
