El Paso, TX (June 1, 2019) On the 1st of June, a serious motorcycle accident happened on the Interstate 10 East Freeway. Somehow a motorcycle and a semi-trailer collided on the highway at around 4:00 p.m., not far from Piedras Street.
The impact of the crash delayed both sides of the interstate freeway. Traffic was backed up all the way up until Copia Street.
When the paramedics arrived, they tended to all injured victims involved. Those who needed more medical attention were taken to a local hospital.
Our thoughts are with everyone involved in the crash.
Motorcycle Accidents in El Paso
In 2018, approximately 552 motorcycle accidents happened in El Paso. Most motorcycle accidents happen when drivers fail to see oncoming motorcyclists in their blind spots, especially if they’re driving distracted. Some distractions include using a handheld device, searching for items, eating, putting on makeup, conversing with passengers, and more. If drivers are speeding or driving while under the influence, they put themselves in a position to accidentally strike motorcyclists on the roadway.
At Benton Law Firm, we help motorcyclists who have been wrongfully hit by negligent drivers. We understand how severe injuries can be when motorcyclists are hit by vehicles, especially since motorcycles are less stable than other vehicles and expose riders’ bodies more than other vehicles. We work hard and efficiently to help our clients win their cases and receive fair compensation for all damages sustained as a result of the crash.
