Granbury, TX – 2 Killed and 1 Injured on SH 114
Granbury, TX (June 2, 2019) On the afternoon of June 1st, a car accident happened on State Highway 114 and Cowboy Court. A 2009 Cadillac was traveling north on the highway while a 2005 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling south. The Chevrolet turned left onto Cowboy Court in front of the oncoming Cadillac, ultimately failing to yield the right-of-way. The front of the Cadillac collided with the Chevrolet at approximately 12:18 p.m.
When emergency crews responded to the scene, they found two occupants in the Cadillac seriously injured. The two injured victims were airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in critical condition. Unfortunately, they both died at the hospital despite immediate treatment. They have been identified as 83-year-old Shirley F. Sloan and 91-year-old Gerald Sloan.
The driver of the Chevrolet was airlifted to Harris Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment of serious injuries. He has been identified as 28-year-old Michael Bryant Keigley.
The accident is currently being investigated by authorities.
