Center, TX (June 4, 2019) – On June 3, around 11:34 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident on Highway 96.

According to reports, a pedestrian was working on a construction crew near the EZ Mart Convenience Store when he was struck by a motor vehicle in the roadway. The driver of an International Water Truck backed over the pedestrian, causing major injuries to the victim.

The victim, who was identified as Denarius Penson, was transported to Nacogdoches Medical Center and later flown to Shreveport for medical treatment.
