San Antonio, TX (June 4, 2019) – Around 10 p.m. on June 1, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 900 block of Bandera Road.

According to reports, a pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a motor vehicle. The driver involved in the incident fled the scene.

Emergency crews transported the injured victim to an area hospital with head trauma and numerous other injuries.

A witness to the incident wrote down the license plate number of the vehicle involved in the crash. Authorities traced the vehicle back to 28-year-old Damaris Acosta. Acosta was taken into custody for her involvement in this incident.
