Lubbock, TX – Seven Injured In Crash On Marsha Sharp Freeway

Lubbock, TX (June 5, 2019) – Just after noon on June 5, Lubbock Police department and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Marsha Sharp Freeway near University Avenue.

According to reports, a Citibus and a pickup truck collided along the roadway for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision forced the Citibus off the road before it crashed into a concrete barrier.

Early investigations of the incident determined that the Citibus was attempting to make a left turn at the intersection when of Marsha Sharp Freeway and University Avenue when the vehicle was struck by a pickup truck headed straight along the roadway.

Five people on the bus and two inside the pickup truck were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment. At least one person injured remains in serious condition at this time.
