West, TX – Driver Killed In Semi Crash On Interstate 35

West, TX (June 5, 2019) – Just before 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a motor vehicle accident along Interstate 35 near the intersection of County Line Road.

Reports of the incident show that a driver in an SUV lost control of their vehicle due to wet road conditions. The SUV driver crashed into a concrete barrier on the side of the road. As the vehicle came to a rest, it was struck by a semi-truck traveling down the roadway.

The impact of the collision caused the driver of the SUV to be ejected from the vehicle.

The driver of the SUV sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the victim who lost their life in this accident.  Our thoughts are with them at this time.
