Alvin, TX – Wanda Sanders Killed In State Highway 288 Pedestrian Crash

Alvin, TX (June 7, 2019) – On June 7, 60-year-old Wanda Sanders was driving north along State Highway 288 when her vehicle struck something in the roadway. The impact of the collision caused the airbags in her vehicle to deploy.

Ms. Sanders pulled her vehicle over to the side of the highway to assess the damage. As Sanders stood in front of her vehicle, it was rear-ended by a Kia. The impact of the collision caused Sanders’s vehicle to push forward, running her over.

The Kia then bounced into the roadway where it was struck by a Dodge pickup truck. Wanda Sanders sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. The driver of the Kia was injured and transported to an area hospital.

No other person involved in this collision was injured.
