Quinlan, TX – 1 Killed and 2 Injured in Fatal Motorcycle Accident on SH 34
Quinlan, TX (June 8, 2019) – On the morning of June 8th, a fatal motorcycle accident happened on State Highway 34 around 11:50 a.m. A black motorcycle was headed north on the highway when somehow it veered into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a white Chevy pickup truck.
When the paramedics arrived to help all parties involved, they found the motorcyclist lying on the highway with fatal injuries. The driver and the passenger of the Chevy sustained injuries and were immediately taken to Hunt Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The police are still investigating to determine what caused the fatal crash.
Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased motorcyclist, and we also wish the two injured victims a fast recovery.
Motorcycle Accidents in Texas
Sometimes the reason for major collisions could be faulty brakes, other mechanical errors, large objects on highways, hazardous roads, and bad weather conditions. It’s easier for motorcycles to be affected by these issues and accidentally drift into opposite lanes and collide head-on with other vehicles. Because motorcycles are not as stable as passenger vehicles, they’re more likely to drift into other lanes after accidentally running over a large object or driving over a large crack.
