Houston, TX (June 10, 2019) – On June 9th, just after 11:00 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a fire at the Cargill Grain Elevator on Jacinto Port in Channelview.

According to reports, crews worked diligently to battle the three-alarm fire that engulfed the building at this location. While extinguishing the fire, one firefighter sustained serious injuries. The injured firefighter was transported from the scene of the incident via ambulance to an area hospital for medical treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
