Brownwood, TX – Child Struck By Vehicle At A Lake Brownwood Park

Brownwood, TX (June 12, 2019) – Over the weekend of June 8-9, just after 3:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident at Flat Rock Park & Campgrounds.

Reports from the incident state that a child under the age of five was struck by a motor vehicle at the Lake Brownwood park.

The child sustained serious injuries and was transported via air helicopter to a hospital in Lubbock for medical treatment.

The driver was issued a field sobriety test, but they were not cited for driving under the influence. At this time, the accident remains under investigation.
