Denton County, TX – Royce Petty Killed In US-380 Motorcycle Collision

Denton County, TX (June 12, 2019) – On Sunday, June 9, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a motorcycle accident on US-380 just after 3 p.m.

Reports from DPS conclude that 52-year-old Royce Petty, Jr. was traveling east along US Highway 380 on a motorcycle when he was struck by a Ford F-250, which was being operated by 78-year-old Cecil Jones.

The driver of the Ford was attempting to cross US-380 from Ripy Road when he struck the motorcyclist.

Petty was transported to a hospital in Denton. Authorities confirmed that he later passed away as the result of his injuries.
