Austin, TX – Guadalupe Padilla Palacios Killed In Crash On N Capital Of Texas Highway

Austin, TX (June 13, 2019) – On June 8, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 8900 block of North Capital of Texas Highway.

Preliminary investigations of the incident show that just before 12:30 p.m., a white 2016 Ford Explorer was traveling west on to North Capital of Texas Highway from Great Hills Trail when the driver failed to use the dedicate merge lane. As a result, the driver struck a box truck, which was driven by 42-year-old Guadalupe Padilla Palacios.

The impact of the collision caused Palacios’ truck to overturn and strike a guardrail alongside the road.

Palacios was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
