Austin, TX – Matthew Waters Killed In Collision On Oltorf Street

Austin, TX (June 13, 2019) – At approximately 3:52 p.m. on June 10, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 500 block of East Oltorf Street.

Reports from the Austin Police Department show that 53-year-old Matthew Waters was traveling east along East Oltoft Street on a 2015 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

At the same time, the driver of a silver 2016 Toyota Tundra, which was traveling west along Oltorf Street, entered into the eastbound lane to avoid striking a stopped vehicle. As the Tundra entered into the east lane, it struck Waters head-on.

Waters was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly upon arrival.

The incident remains under investigation. No other parties were injured in this collision.
