Sherman, TX – Sherman Municipal Grounds Crash Leaves Ones Injured

Sherman, TX (June 14, 2019) – On June 13, emergency crews responded to the scene of a major pedestrian accident at the Hot Summer Nights event located at the Sherman Municipal Grounds.

Reports from the incident show that an older gentleman got into a white Hyundai SUV. The individual backed out of a parking space. Instead of changing the vehicle to drive-mode, he left the vehicle into reverse, and reverse further into a group of pedestrians.

In all, four children and three adults, for a total of seven people, were struck by the motor vehicle.

Only one child was injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

Driver error was found to be the cause of the incident.
