San Antonio, TX – Man Killed in Fatal Truck Accident on I-10

San Antonio, TX (June 15, 2019) On the evening of June 14th, a fatal truck accident happened on Interstate 10, close to the Fresno Street exit. A man was operating a black pickup truck on the freeway when he sideswiped another pickup truck in the eastbound lanes. The accident caused the initial pickup truck to roll over and eject the driver. The dangerous collision took place at around 5:20 p.m.

When the ambulance arrived, they found the ejected man dead at the scene. There may have been other injuries, but no further information has been released.

Crews shut down the freeway at the West Avenue exit as they investigated and cleared the scene.

Our thoughts are with the deceased man’s family.

Vehicle Accidents in Texas

San Antonio, TX - Man Killed in Fatal Truck Accident on I-10Sadly, over 250,000 people sustained injuries in Texas after being involved in car accidents in 2016. Most car accidents could be avoided, but unfortunately, they continue to happen daily because drivers won’t put down their cell phones or stop multi-tasking while they’re on the road. When drivers take their focus off of the road, even for a few seconds, they run the risk of rear-ending or sideswiping another vehicle, which could cause serious harm.
