Bicycle Accidents in Texas

Austin, TX – Bicyclist Injured in Bicycle Accident on Stassney LnStudies reveal that between the years of 2007 and 2012, approximately 12,789 bicycle accidents occurred in Texas. Most bicycle accidents that occur late at night happen because drivers are either under the influence, fatigued, or distracted by something else. If the roads are poorly lit, this also plays a role in causing an accident, especially if the driver is already drunk, tired, or distracted. Because bicycles are flimsy compared to the sturdiness of vehicles, it’s easy for bicyclists to eject, land on the road, and sustain major injuries.
