Houston, TX – Police Officer Injured in DUI Accident on Beltway 8

Houston, TX (June 16, 2019) On the morning of June 16th, a DUI accident happened on Beltway 8, not far from TC Jester Boulevard. A Precinct 4 deputy was in his patrol car on Beltway 8 when another vehicle rear-ended him. The accident happened at around 1:00 a.m.

When the ambulance arrived to help, they found the officer suffering from head, neck, and back injuries. The paramedics rushed him to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment. The other driver also sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital as well.

The authorities are still investigating the accident but have charged the driver with intoxication assault of peace officer.
