Springtown, TX – Child Killed In Highway 199 Collision
Springtown, TX (June 17, 2019) – On June 13, around 3 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 199.
Reports from the incident show that the driver of a motor vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign at the intersection of Williams Ward Road and Highway 199. As the vehicle passed through the intersection, it was struck by another vehicle traveling west along Highway 199.
The driver of the vehicle, who was identified only as a pregnant female, was airlifted to an area hospital in critical condition.
On Sunday, June 16, authorities confirm that the pregnant female’s child succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision. At this time, we are unsure of the condition of the woman nor anyone else treated for injuries.
