Wichita Falls, TX – One Killed & One Injured In Collision With Cow On US 277
Wichita Falls, TX (June 18, 2019) – Just before 5 a.m. on Sunday, June 16, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 277 just eight miles south of Seymour.
Reports from Texas Department of Public Safety indicate a 37-year-old male was traveling along the roadway when his vehicle struck a cow, which was crossing near Seymour. The male sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 38-year-old female occupant of the vehicle was critically injured and transported to a hospital in Lubbock for emergency treatment immediately after the collision. Due to conditions at the scene of the incident, DPS is working to determine who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
