Houston, TX – Greg Sammon Injured In Collision On North Loop 610

Houston, TX (June 19, 2019) – On June 17, Houston Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the North Loop 610.

Reports from the incident show that around 9:50 a.m., Officer Greg Sammon was working alongside another Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office Deputy while escorting a large load along the highway. During the escort, a motor vehicle came up behind Mr. Sammon’s motorcycle and struck it from behind.

After being struck, the officer and his bike were dragged several feet before the truck stopped.

Sammons sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for medical treatment.
