San Antonio, TX (June 19, 2019) – On June 19, just after 2 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Norfleet Street near Interstate 35.

According to reports, a 2-year-old boy was with his family in the front yard of their home when he ran out into the street. As his parents ran after him, he was struck by a dark color car in the street. The driver fled from the scene without stopping.

The child sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

At this time the incident remains under investigation.
