Houston, TX – Construction Worker Dies In Fall Off Highway 288

Houston, TX (June 21, 2019) – At approximately 4:40 a.m., on June 21, emergency crews responded to the scene of a workplace accident near the overpass on Beltway South and State Highway 288.

Reports from the incident show that a crew working for the subcontractor Choctaw Construction was performing decking on the steel beams at State Highway 288 and the Beltway when one of the men on the crew fell off the overpass.

The male sustained fatal injuries in the fall and was issued CPR for over a half hour. The attempts were unsuccessful and the man was declared deceased as the result of his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
