League City, TX – River Russell Hit & Killed By Car On FM 270 South

League City, TX (June 26, 2019) – On Monday, June 24, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident on Farm to Market Road 270 South.

According to reports, League City Police found a 19-year-old male, later identified as River Russell, lying in a ditch near the 1800 block of FM 270 South.

Russell’s belongings were scattered across the roadway as he is believed to have been struck by a motor vehicle between 2:45 a.m. and 3:50 a.m. early Monday morning.

Russell was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
