Wichita Falls, TX – Fire On Amber Avenue Injures Two People

Wichita Falls, TX (June 27, 2019) – On June 26, the Wichita Falls Fire Department responded to the scene of a fire incident in the 1100 block of Amber Avenue just after 8:45 a.m.

Reports from Interim Fire Chief Donald Hughes indicate that four people were inside the home at the time of the fire. The Fire Department was able to put out the first without any problems.

Unfortunately, a 1-year-old child sustained third-degree burns in the incident and remains hospitalized at Parkland Burn Unit in Dallas.

The child’s grandmother, who was not identified, sustained injuries as well and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
