League City, TX – Phillip James Antoine Arrested For S Egret Bay Blvd Crash

League City, TX (July 2, 2019) – On Monday, June 24, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident on Farm to Market Road 270 South.

According to reports, League City Police found a 19-year-old male, later identified as River Russell, lying in a ditch near the 1800 block of FM 270 South.

Surveillance videos of the incident showed Phillip James Antoine strike River Russell around 3:40 a.m. near Hewitt Road while Russell was skateboarding in the southbound lane. After the incident, Antoine continued to deliver his next load to Kroger.

Antoine has since been arrested and charged with the second-degree felony of an accident involving death.
