Houston, TX – UPDATE – Driver Of Loop 610 Crash Dies From Injuries

Houston, TX (July 3, 2019) – On July 3, at approximately 10 a.m., police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident along Loop 610.

According to reports, a semi-truck driver was traveling along the roadway when he was cut off by a small passenger car. The driver of the semi cut the wheel in an effort to miss the car. In doing so, the semi-truck driver drove over the side of the Ship Channel Bridge, traveling approximately 150-feet to the ground below.

The driver sustained very serious injuries in the collision. Crews spent an extended period extricating the driver from the semi-truck.

The truck driver was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
